Keep Moving
Finished two pages of Carbon this week. That’s my unwritten goal. Two pages a week. Minimum. One of those two pages was a real pain in the ass. A real ball buster. I don’t know why, exactly. It’s not a particularly exciting page or anything. Just one character getting off a bus and walking to an underpass. There’s not even any words. But, man, it gave me a hard time. I used a good deal of white-out (not the most I’ve ever had to use on a page, but still…) and even had to completely redraw and glue a panel on top of an existing already inked panel. But I powered through it and got it to a point where I can live with it. That’s the thing about comics: you just gotta keep moving. There’s always another page to draw. Don’t get stuck. Get it done, accept that it’s not perfect and move on to the next one.
